Have you seen Maurice on our website on the service tab? Well, now you get to put his story with a face. Maurice has spent his entire career in the copier industry having started his first year after high school. His first job that launched his career was for a copier company in Lake Ozark, MO and he started with no previous knowledge. Eager to work from the ground up, Maurice learned how to fix copiers, faxes, typewriters, and cash registers. Under Bob, who taught him everything about working on office equipment, he worked for that same first company for six years.
Maurice made the move from Lake Ozark to Northwest Arkansas to be closer to his mother. He saw an ad for a copier tech at a local company and worked there for another six years. When some of his coworkers began leaving this company to go work at AAA Business Systems, we gained Maurice. He states, “My old coworkers kept asking me to come work with them at AAA, but I wasn’t really interested in changing companies. I finally gave in and decided to go see what AAA Business Systems had to offer. Eleven years later and I am still here.” Two years ago, Maurice changed his position from copier tech to Help Desk/IT Support. “After twenty-two years of being a copier tech,” Maurice says, “I decided to take this opportunity and I have really enjoyed learning this side of the industry.”
In his free time, Maurice enjoys going on motorcycle rides with his wife. “I know God has a plan for our lives, because I met my beautiful wife while working as a copier tech for NW Medical,” Maurice says with a smile. Maurice also loves going camping with friends and family, family that includes his two great kids: a son (14) and a daughter (12). Maurice’s knowledge from copier to information technology is abundant and, in addition, his positive energetic personality and eagerness to assist fellow coworkers and customers has always been welcoming for all who have met him. Maurice is a valued AAA employee and we are always thankful to have him around for his knowledge and upbeat personality.
