Months ago, the first hire for our Little Rock sales team was Ashley Johnston. Ashley comes to AAA Business Systems with nine years expertise in the printing industry and is a four times winner of President’s Club. Her knowledge of the printing industry has won her titles such as, Most Net New sales in 2014 and Sharp Ultimate Rewards Bahamas incentive earner in 2015. How does Ashley earn the business and respect of her customers? “My experience over the last nine years has helped me learn how to best help the customers. One of the best pieces of advice I received in my time as a sales rep was to listen.” Ashley states, “The more you listen to the customer and not try to sell them on a product, the more you will learn about their needs.”
Ashley graduated from the University of Central Arkansas in 2001 with a degree in Psychology and minor in Sociology. From there, she worked in the medical sales industry for 6 years covering the state of Arkansas. She joined the printer industry when she started a family and wanted a position that kept her closer to home. Ashley says, “When I first started in this industry, color was more expensive at .16 a page and now it’s .06 on average! Also, color boxes were so much more expensive and selling one was rare. Now it’s the other way around.” Ashley heard about Wade Timmermann and his story from one of her best friends. “I was interested in working for someone like him and came to meet him”, she states. “I love working with Wade; he takes great care of his employees and customers!” In her first three months at AAA, Ashley has already won over many of her customers by listening to them and educating them on what machines work well with their business, which has helped her sell 23 machines in the 3 months she has been with AAA.
In Ashley’s personal life, she and her husband Chris stay busy with their two sons, Grayson (10) and Cohen (6). As a family, they stay involved with their eldest son’s traveling baseball team. Even though baseball takes up a big portion of their time, they also love to catch a Razorback football game whenever they can.
